Erik Ordal, CPA/PFS

Consulting

Born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Erik attended college at the Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis. Upon graduating with a B.A. in Accounting as well as a Master’s of Accountancy in 2014, he spent four years in public accounting at a global firm performing audits. He has both public and private company experience in a variety of industries with a focus on private equity. He switched careers in 2018 to pursue a passion for financial planning, joining an independent RIA firm in Minnetonka. In this role, he served in the advisory group, providing holistic wealth management services to ultra-affluent families.

In February of 2020, Erik joined MKS to build out the firm’s personal and business consulting services. He holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), which is only available to active CPAs with requisite knowledge and expertise in personal financial planning.

A lifelong learner and voracious reader, Erik finds joy in serving others, building relationships and solving problems.

Erik and his wife Allie live in the western suburbs of Minneapolis with their son Otto and two golden retrievers, Dakota and Peanut. When not “playing toys” or exercising the dogs, you can find him on the golf course enjoying the weather.
